Marriage material??

Have you ever driven your parents crazy with your ideas of a perfect soul mate or have your parents driven you nuts on marrying the so-called good guy after every meet they happen to have with the prospective guy’s/gals family? I am sure more than half of the 23-28 year crowd’s top of mind frustration is their parent’s worry of them not getting a good guy/girl to marry. And lo…when they go out in the market to get u a match……their parameters of judging that perfect match keeps on changing depending on the kind of ‘rishta’ they have been able to connect to. Not that they actually want you to marry any of them….but the more you say ‘No’ the more they tend to try to make a point that ‘our’ ideas of  a perfect match is very much flawed.

Well………I do not disagree here whole heartedly but why don’t they understand that there is something called a ‘generation gap’ which changes the parameters to everything automatically. Bohhooooooooooo……enough of cribbing!! Now I’ll take you through a very interesting ‘case’ here which drives you away from the concept of arrange marriage if this kind of crazy lot keeps meeting you very often. Sadly, it turns out to be a waste of our parent’s painstaking efforts.

Now…this guy is from IIM and wants to marry. Has his profile well written (maybe by someone else 😀 ) . A typical guy who would prove all IIM guys are not really dude or Intelligent. Sadly enough, he was stuck in pre-medieval times asking if I had friends who were boys:D or if I ever had a relationship…or a crush……and on saying who would not have had a crush in a period of 25 years…….asks: What if after marriage, you meet a crush of yours…..and he squeezes you (yes…squeeze is the word he used 😉  ); then, what will be your reaction……….

My mind goes………….?????????????????????????………………………………………………

Aha….my reaction to the question was “Dumbstruck” ……… 😀 and I just said ‘kuch nai’ to which he was astonished and repeated the question. I was now smiling , happy that he asked such a question to make my judgement easier…and answered….. Well, none of my friends are idiots who would do that!!

After a couple of more such dumb questions………when I decided to leave, he promptly says…..If you don’t have time for dinner tonight, I’ll meet you other day. Oh Please………..!! 1 meeting is not enough?? And I hurriedly said…no I have half an hour, let’s have dinner 😀 😀

So, any such experiences you’ve had?? Add up!! Spill it……………..Let the guys know…its not that we have too high standards….but its them who don’t even fulfil the criteria of being a rationale person…….We never said we can’t keep up or like crazy people but they also have to be above a certain benchmark. What say galsss??
